STEPH started with the SOS social team back in January 2023. Through the glowing recommendation of a friend, she first submitted a general adoption application and was matched with a northern mix puppy from a big rescue mission in Manitoba – she named him Odin! She couldn’t have been happier and would love to give a huge shout out to the Scruff Counsellors and volunteers who made it all happen. A year later, she found him a little sister – another Manitoba puppy who she named Freya and they lived happily ever after.

During SOS off-hours, you can find Steph outdoors with her energetic scruffs! If they aren’t on a grand adventure hike, you can likely guess Steph will be enjoying an old show and video games. Fun fact – Steph used to be known as a ‘cat person’ having grown up with two cats name Binx and Tiger (she also had a bunny named Tina), but how the times have changed! You can still be sure that she’ll be that person at the party who you’ve lost to the company of the family pet.
