Bring dogs home this Giving Tuesday
Right now, more than 500 dogs are waiting for us to bring them into loving foster homes. Every day, countless dogs sit in our partner shelters with limited resources and little visibility. Most dogs can only tolerate the stress of shelter life for about 30 days before their health and spirits begin to decline, yet many have been waiting much longer.
This Giving Tuesday, you can make a life-changing difference. Your donation to Save Our Scruff helps move dogs from crowded shelters into foster care, where they receive the safety, love, and one-on-one attention they need to heal and get ready for adoption. Foster care gives every dog the opportunity to grow, learn, and find their forever family.

Help a dog like Daisy
Daisy sat in a shelter for five years. The photo you see here was taken after she finally arrived in SOS foster care. While Daisy’s story is not an easy one, she had every potential to grow into a confident, loved, and secure dog when rescued as a puppy. But after years in a kennel with little human interaction and no life outside four walls, she’s had to start over.
Help us get dogs like Daisy out of shelters sooner, so they can begin healing before the damage of long-term confinement sets in.

Thanks to funding support & an open foster home, Belly was able to come into care just 28 days after arriving at a local shelter. Belly’s foster home describes her as “extremely sweet with everyone she meets, she loves attention. She's pretty relaxed and unbothered by most things”. Belly was posted for adoption soon after arriving and was a hit at our September adoption event. She now has an adoption pending and we see good things for her future.

Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to doing good. It is a global movement with hundreds of millions of participants across the world. What began in the United States in 2012 now spans more than 80 countries. Though generosity is a movement we can embrace every single day, Giving Tuesday comes around once a year and this year it’s happening on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
Anyone can take part in Giving Tuesday. To get involved, charities, non-profits, small businesses, community groups, individuals, families (the list goes on) set up their own campaigns to meet goals toward making a difference. Giving Tuesday is a reminder of the good in people and the strength of community as we rally together for a cause.
